BIOS A05 ** WARNING ** It is extremely important that customers verify the AuthenTec fingerprint reader driver installed is not version 6.26.1.0. To Check the AuthenTec Driver version: Click on Start > Control panel. If the Control Panel window in Category view, Click on Performance and Maintenance and click on System. If the Control Panel window in Classic View double click on System icon. On the System Properties, click on Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager In the Device Manager, click + on Universal Serial Bus controller to expand the category. Double click on AuthenTec AES2501 On the AuthenTec AES2501 properties, click on Driver tab. The driver version is the 3rd item from the top. Check for driver version 6.25.0.0. To Rollback the AuthenTec Driver if you have version 6.26.1.0 After getting to step #7 above do the following In AuthenTec AES2501 properties, click on Roll Back Driver A warning window will pop up Are you sure you would like to roll back to the previous driver? Click on Yes The driver will roll back to previous version and user can see the change on AuthenTec AES2501 properties. The driver version should reflect 6.25.0.0 Close AuthenTec AES2501 properties. Driver rolled back and there is no need to restart system. Close Device Manager, System Properties and Control Panel Window. End of roll back.
